🇮🇱 Israel - 🇵🇸 Palestine • Two Palestinians shot dead in Jenin by the Israeli army as they surrendered unarmed

Footage shows two men coming out of a garage with their hands up and shirts pulled up, before kneeling and lying down on the ground under the supervision of Israeli forces, then being shot at close range at the entrance to the building, according to clips broadcast by Arab channels and shared on social media. Palestinian authorities identified the victims as Al-Muntasir Abdullah, 26, and Youssef Asasa, 37, claiming that Israeli forces took their bodies away.

On the Israeli side, a joint statement by the army and police referred to an operation to apprehend "wanted suspects" accused of throwing explosives and firing at soldiers, specifying that a surrender procedure had lasted several hours before shots were fired at the suspects after they left the building. Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir ordered an intensified investigation, while National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir publicly supported the forces involved.

Israeli and Palestinian rights organizations denounced the incident as an extrajudicial execution and a trivialization of violence, calling for prosecutions and effective accountability mechanisms. The incident is part of a large-scale security operation in the northern West Bank, involving curfews, searches, and dozens of arrests, and comes as at least 1,000 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since October 2023. Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has ruled out any cooperation with Washington, despite mixed signals from Donald Trump about a possible agreement. The E3 (Germany, France, United Kingdom) have activated the snapback sanctions mechanism, and Iran still refuses to allow the full return of inspections by the IAEA, the UN agency responsible for nuclear issues.

🇨🇳 China - 🇫🇷 France - 🇯🇵 Japan • Beijing has sought Paris's support against Tokyo: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi called on Emmanuel Macron's diplomatic advisor, Emmanuel Bonne, for mutual support on “China's fundamental interests” and reaffirmed respect for the One China principle. 🇬🇧 United Kingdom - 🇪🇺 European Union • Negotiations for British membership of the European SAFE defense fund have failed, despite months of discussions ahead of the November 30 deadline. London considers the financial requirements too high, with an entry cost of up to €6 billion. Downing Street insists that the British defense industry will be able to participate as a third country. This failure complicates Keir Starmer's ambition to revive relations with the EU.

🇭🇺 Hungary - 🇷🇺 Russia - 🇪🇺 European Union • In Moscow, Viktor Orban announced that Hungary would continue to import Russian gas and oil, stating that Russian energy remained the basis of Hungary's supply.
